Davidoff  has announced that it will be adding 18 cigars to its Exclusive Editions series in 2020, a collection that celebrates the anniversaries and other special occasions of the company’s top retail and distribution partners around the world.

“The Davidoff Exclusive Editions are exceptional cigar creations with customized blends, each as unique as the countries, cities and anniversaries they were made to celebrate,” said Edward Simon, chief marketing officer at Oettinger Davidoff AG, via a press release. “With these personalized editions we are honoring Zino Davidoff’s unique attention to each customer and his individual demands who entered the iconic Geneva store.”

He went on to note how the trade partners selected for the 2020 editions were able to customize the blends of their cigars to cater to local preferences. While each blend is different, the company said that the blends all use tobaccos from Ecuador and the Dominican Republic to create “a wide array of rich flavours and aromas.” Just as the blends were customizable, the partners were able to choose between a Belicoso, Piramides or Panetela vitola for their cigar.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
