Smoking in public parks and golf courses in Dallas, Texas may soon become a thing of the past. Yesterday, the city’s Park and Recreation Board agreed to have city officials draft proposed legislation for a vote.

In 2009, the city passed a smoking ban that covered most indoor public spaces such as bars and restaurants.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Dallas and Phoenix are the only cities amongst the 10 largest in the U.S. without some sort of park ban.
