Camacho is celebrating 15 years of its popular Liberty Series, with a couple of notable changes for the annual limited edition.
First, gone is the signature 11/18 perfecto size that has been used on almost every version of the Liberty. In addition, the company says this is the most Nicaraguan tobacco ever used in a Camacho.
More specifically, that tobacco is corojo 99 from Estelí, which is used in the filler alongside Dominican piloto cubano. Over top that is a Honduran corojo binder and an Ecuadorian habano wrapper.
This year’s size will be a 6 x 54 “super toro.
“Camacho Liberty is the pinnacle in our world of Live Loud blends, and this year we raise the bar yet again with a new and impactful taste experience,” said Dylan Austin, vp of marketing for Davidoff of Geneva USA. “We are excited to share this milestone year with aficionados of bold cigars across the globe, and mark the second year this special edition series has been distributed internationally.”
The Camacho Liberty 2017 will begin shipping on the U.S. on June 22, with 2,500 boxes slated for the American market. It will ship to European markets—Austria, Benelux, Germany and Switzerland—in October with 1,000 boxes designated for the region.
Pricing is set at $20 per cigar and it comes in boxes of 20.
