Starting next year, there will be a new cigar passed out Chris Arolfo’s event. The Cabal brand owner was forced to make a change to his previous event-only cigar as the ligero being used was no longer available.

The 2015 version is once again a 4 x 52 short robusto, but the binder has been changed, which created a different cigar.

“Just this small change gives the cigar a totally different mouth feel and even a change to the body,” said Arolfo in a text message to halfwheel. “(The) small change impressed me so much I knew this was the next ‘event only’ smoke.”

For those concerned about telling the two cigars apart, the new version not only features a Cabal band, but also has a covered foot. Its first formal debut will be at the launch of the Cabal Linda on Jan. 15 at the Smoke Ring in Clear Lake, Texas, the store Arolfo managed prior to launching Cabal.

All Cabal cigars are produced at the Kelner Boutique Factory in the Dominican Republic.
