BLEND Bar with Davidoff Cigars has announced that Saturday, Jan. 20 will be the grand opening date of its new Houston location.

Located in The Woodlands, Texas, it will be the fourth to operate under the BLEND name, joining locations in Indianapolis, Ind., Nashville, Tenn., and Pittsburgh, Penn. In addition to selling premium cigars, it will offer lunch and dinner service as well as a full bar, highlighted by a selection of more than 100 bourbons.

“The BLEND concept is built around a complete sensory experience in an upscale environment for men and women with discerning tastes,” said Todd Allen, general manager of the store. He noted that the space will feature custom designed furniture, audio-video systems, and a ventilation system with a proprietary design that changes out 100% of the lounge air every six to eight minutes to ensure that as smoke-free of an environment and experience as possible.

Additionally, BLEND is staffed by the only Tobacconist University-certified Cigar Sommelier Tobacconists in the United States.

The company’s partnership with Davidoff extends beyond just a prominent display of Davidoff products in BLEND’s humidors; the cigar bar shares many of the same design elements Davidoff uses in its Davidoff of Geneva — since 1911 flagship stores.

It will also feature cigars from a number of other premium brands in its humidor.

The Houston location was announced in June. Due to Houston’s smoking ban, it is located approximately 30 miles north of the city, at 1701 Lake Robbins Drive, in The Woodlands.

BLEND is owned and operated by CKM Entertainment, LLC.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
