The Illinois-based Binny’s Beverage Depot will be receiving an exclusive cigar from Curivari, a rather rare move from the somewhat secretive Nicaraguan manufacturer. George Eshou, who runs the cigar department for the large chain of liquor stores, told halfwheel they’ve selected the Buenaventura blend in a 6 1/4 x 54 toro format.

While some of the details are still being worked out, there will be 250 boxes of 10 delivered to Binny’s before the end of the year. The blend remains the same as its listed, a Nicaraguan puro. Pricing and the name have not been announced, although Eshou indicated it might very well follow the naming scheme for the other cigars in the Buenaventura line, making this the BV654.

Buenaventura was introduced in 2012 as Curivari’s value-oriented line. Each of the three original vitolas retails for under $6.
