About the author

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.

For a company that has a decidedly Russian symbol for its brand, their booth was very Scottish themed this year and quite hard to miss….

IPCPR 2015: Blue Mountain Cigars

While Blue Mountain Cigars booth was towards the back of the show, in a smaller booth, they certainly go big with their cigar line names. With…

IPCPR 2015: Nomad Cigar Co.

Nomad Cigar Co. had one new release at the show, but it was quite an extensive one. And while it wasn’t a dog, it did have…

IPCPR 2015: De Los Reyes

Last year, it was Royal Gold and Corporación Cigar Export, this year, if you wanted to find Saga cigars, you had to go to a booth…

IPCPR 2015: Guayacan

Once again, Guayacan was consistently busy, only finally allowing me some of Noel Rojas’ time first thing in the morning on Day 4. While all of…

IPCPR 2015: Cornelius & Anthony

The Cornelius & Anthony booth wasn’t just cigars, a fact national sales director Spence Drake readily admitted wasn’t ideal. Cornelius & Anthony is part of S&M…
