There’s another big ring gauge Connecticut cigar heading to market.

Asylum Cigars and CLE Cigar Co. have announced that they will release the Asylum 13 Connecticut, a three size line of the popular Asylum 13 line with Connecticut-seed wrappers.

It will be offered in 5 x 50, 6 x 60 and 7 x 70. The 5 x 50 and 6 x 60 sizes will be packaged in 50-count boxes, while the largest size will come in 30-count boxes.

The cigar uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers.

“Asylum cigars are known for being more full bodied and Nicaraguan,” said Tom Lazuka of Asylum in a press release. “We wanted to blend something different and lighter into the portfolio.”

Suggested retail pricing ranges from $5.80-7.80 per cigar. It is being produced at the El Aladino factory in Danlí, Honduras.

It is expected to ship at the end of this month.
