General Cigar Co. has announced that Alan Willner, the company’s vp of marketing, has left the company “to pursue other interests.”

Willner is the third executive to leave General Cigar Co. in a little more than a year. Last November, Dan Carr, the company’s president, was fired and Michael Giannini, the company’s creative director and director of innovations, left in September.

“I will provide day-to-day leadership of the marketing team,” said Régis Broersma, General Cigar Co.’s president, in a press release.

“Change is always uncomfortable, but with this change I have great confidence in the team to drive the business forward. Our strategy and brands are strong, and we are well positioned to take General Cigar to the next level. It’s time to release the company’s full potential.”

Willner had been with the company since 2011.

General Cigar Co. is owned by Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), which also owns Cigars International. General serves as the U.S. marketing and sales arm for the company. In the U.S., it sells CAO, Cohiba, Hoyo de Monterrey, La Gloria Cubana, Macanudo, Partagas and Punch.
