There’s a host of new products from A.J. Fernández Cigars, one of which is named days of glory.

That’s what the Spanish phrase Días de Gloria means.

The company has declined to talk details about the new cigars, but its website indicates there will be four sizes: Short Churchill (6 1/2 x 48, $6), Robusto (5 1/2 x 52, $6.50), Toro (6 x 56, box-pressed, $7) and Gordo (6 x 58, $7.50). All were offered in boxes of 20.

Due to regulations by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), many companies were forced to release new products prior to Aug. 8. Any new cigar introduced after Aug. 8 would be subject to pre-approval before the cigars were able to be sold.

As such, many companies shipped a variety of new products to a limited amount of stores in order to meet the deadline even though the company plans on formally introducing the products at a later date.

That’s exactly what took place with A.J. Fernández. Multiple retailers told halfwheel they received the new lines prior to Aug. 8.
