Much of the 2013 Tatuaje release for the TAA is familiar, even if the blend won’t return until 2014. Last week at the 45th annual Tobacconists Association of America meeting and convention in the Dominican Republic, members of the retailer group had an opportunity to purchase a special 6 3/8 x 54 vitola featuring a [...]

As we wrote in March and again in August, the Tobacconists Association of America held its annual convention, which took place March 25-29 in Los Cabos, Mexico. While that in of itself is not something to get overly excited about, this was also the time when Pete Johnson of Tatuaje Cigars took orders for one of [...]

Editor’s Note: Today is a slightly different note. Legendary sports historian Bert Sugar passed away yesterday at 75. Bert was a noted boxing historian and as a fan of boxing, his insight and memory was remarkable. Bert was also a cigar smoker, a noted cigar smoker. Need proof? Every picture of him on the first [...]

Pete Johnson of Havana Cellars/Tatuaje has confirmed that for the second year in a row, he will be making a cigar exclusive to the members of the Tobacconists Association of America. Johnson has yet to release many other details, other than that he will be taking orders at the annual convention, which takes place March [...]

In March of 2011, the Tobacconists’ Association of America held its yearly convention in Cabo San Lucas, where it was announced that Tatuaje would be producing a limited production cigar that would be sold only at the stores of the TAA members who attended the convention and signed up for it. Says Pete Johnson about [...]

Editor’s Note: And we shall call this, the one where everything has been delayed. After the jump is news on four major releases that have all been pushed back for a variety of reasons. Three of them have been pushed back to the month of October, which by all accounts will be the biggest month [...]

Apologies for this late edition of cigar news. Another somewhat quiet week as far as new products go. TAA went on in Cabo this past week and this week brings the Nicaraguan Cigar Fest, I don’t believe there’s anything scheduled for next week. April Fools was relatively quiet with no Candela Liga Privada attempts, although [...]
