La Sirena Logo

June 7, 2013 (Miami, Fla.) – In a recent expedition to Lake Nicaragua, which archeologists feel was once a large bay alongside the Pacific Ocean, a discovery was made. The dangerous mission to find treasures of the mermaid was met by sharks and other seemingly out of place aquatic animals. On the last day, in [...]

La-Aurora-IPCPR-2011-3.JPG

Too much. In a year were many manufacturers made it very clear they were aware of the amount of new releases collectively, Miami Cigar & Co. and La Aurora seemed to have missed the meeting. Jason Wood explained that it was the first time where La Aurora had offered a plethora of new releases, but [...]

News: La Aurora/Miami Cigar IPCPR Preview

There are more? Miami Cigar & Co. and La Aurora have already shed light on a host of new releases for the IPCPR show, but there are more. (By my count, MCC/La Aurora and Perdomo are currently leading the arbitrary competition for most new releases at the 2011 IPCPR, but that’s besides the point.) The [...]

Editor’s Note: A lot of tidbits of cigars that we haven’t mentioned this week, but the two major stories are the information regarding the El Rey de los Habanos lawsuit and Michael Herklots’ departure from Davidoff of Geneva. It’s been a busy week to say the least, and not just in cigar news. Tons of new news, including a few that came out from the middle of nowhere. Wednesday was a hectic day with one of the most confusing days in regards to cigar news. After the jump, other news about Pete Johnson, [...]

Weekly News (January 24, 2011)

On Tuesday, we broke the news regarding the discontinuation of the AVO 787. La Sirena, Miami Cigar & Co.’s newest release, is in Miami at the warehouse, should be at retailers in a few days. In other news from Miami Cigar & Co., the La Aurora Corojo will be released at the 2011 IPCPR show. For anyone that was at the show this past year, you’ll know it was one of the cigars featured at the booth, however packaging and branding concerns led to a decision to relaunch and release the cigar in July. It will feature new packaging and banding, but the cigar itself will be the same. La Aurora also announced that the 1495 BME Sumo Short Robusto will be making it’s U.S. debut. The NUb-style cigar has been in the European markets since early fall, and Miami Cigar & Co. has now decided to bring the cigar to the U.S. market. It’s 4 x 58 and should be available in a few packaging options, including boxes of five. In other large ring gauge news, the Cain F NUb is also shipping this week, the post from when we originally broke the story now has price points for the two sizes. In other Oliva/Studio Tobac news, rumor has it the Studio Tobac tour will start on el niño diablo’s birthday.

News: La Sirena (Updated)

La-Sirena-1.png

One of many announcements out of the IPCPR show from Miami Cigar & Co. was the La Sirena. A revival of an older brand, but a completely new blend. I smoked one shortly after the show and did a Twitter mini-review, but Twitter has lost that. Anyways, after the jump, pics and details of the [...]
