6. Viaje Juntos (2016 Packaging Awards)

Viaje is no stranger to jars, but its 2016 collaboration project, now named Juntos, took a modern and innovate approach. Juntos is actually two different cigars, both the same blend and dimensions, though one is a 6 x 54 torpedo and the other a 6 x 54 toro extra. As such, the company divided the cigars up into two different areas with one bundle of 10 on top and the other bundle of 10 on the bottom.

Juntos gets a lot of credit for being a seamless package. Viaje ditched the retro-inspired band it previously used on its Collaboration releases in favor of a more modern profile for Juntos and it pays off. The black and white bands provide a ying and yang feel that ties the project together. Furthermore, the initial Juntos release seems to set the stage for future collaborative projects.
